Fun with Daddy...

Yesterday morning Maja & I headed out to visit Nicki who was my Public Health Nurse when Maja was first born. But unfortunately, Nicki wasn't there when we dropped in unannounced so we're going to try again this afternoon. While we were we stopped into the daycare that's on site to check things out - trying to be proactive for when I head back to work next year (*sigh*). The people we met were so nice. We got a tour of the place, got to see some of the kids and most importantly got to play with a couple of new toys! Maja was so cute while we were there. As soon as the woman who was showing us around came out from her office and starting chatting with us, Maja walked over to her with open arms asking to be picked up! Then later on when some of the kids came back inside from their outside play time, Maja walked up to a little girl and gave her an impromptu hug! What a sweetie! :)

After her morning nap, Maja & I then headed off to IKEA to buy a mirror for her room (we already have one but wanted to get one that has a wooden frame so there's less risk of her cutting her fingers on the edge of the glass) - lately she loves to just stare at herself in the mirror! Instead of going by ourselves we called up Steph, Christine & Dash and the five of us headed off to IKEA. We had lunch there, played with some of the toys and then did a quick run through of the place. Thanks for joining us guys, it's always so much more fun with others!

Then last night just before Daddy came home from work, Maja worked her way into our hallway closet and found her lion costume from Halloween. Of course then she had to put it on! So when Marvin walked in the door, he got a great warm welcome from the local lion who went running up to him to give him a hug. While I was getting dinner ready, Marvin was bouncing Maja on his knees which just made her squeal with delight over and over. Here's a shot of the two of them on the stairs...
