And Then There Were Two...

Two sickie-poos, that is - Maja and now Marvin. :( Let's start with patient #1, Maja. Yesterday Marvin, Maja & I headed back to the doctor's office to have her rash checked out. After chatting about her symptoms over the past week, the doctor is pretty sure that Maja has (had?) Roseola. Roseola apparently causes a high fever of about 103 for between 3 to 5 days then is followed by a rash once the fever subsides - which pretty much matches Maja's symptons to a T. So the doctor now figures that she should be back to her normal self in a couple of days. If not, then back we go and the doctor will do some blood work.

Now for patient #2, Marvin. On Sunday, Marvin noticed that he had a stiff neck on the left side and his left abdominal was very tender. After looking his symptoms up on the net and going to a walk-in clinic, we figured it was best if we took him to emergency last night. So off we went. Unfortunately though, after poking around a bit, having some blood work done and getting an x-ray, the doctor wasn't really any closer to finding out what was causing Marvin's pain. So this afternoon Marvin is having a CT scan done. As soon we know more, I'll let you know.

So given the past week's events (Marvin's back, Maja's Roseola, a death of a dear family friend and now Marvin's pain), I'm sure you all understand why I don't have any new photos to share. Again, I'll keep you posted on the patients as soon as I know more.
