Happy, Happy, Happy & Happy...
Ok there's lots of Happy things to wish on this blog... first things first, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! We hope that all of you had a great long weekend full of lots of family, turkey, nice warm weather, and of course stretchy pants! :)
Second, today (October 8th) marks Maja's best friend, Christine's, 2nd birthday - where does the time go?!? We know our plan is to see each other tomorrow, but Maja wanted to make sure we actually passed along birthday wishes on the proper day, so...
(Sorry the picture is so small, but I thought the picture on your blog was the most appropriate one around - so I cut & paste it). Third, tomorrow (October 9th), is one of Maja's most dedicated fans (although she had let things slip a bit lately - ahem...), Jen's, birthday. So...
And finally, Wednesday is our Bermudian friend, Pete's, birthday. So...
HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY PETE! :)
Ok... so now to Maja's weekend. On Saturday, Maja, Bakica, Marvin & I all headed into the big city to visit Teta for a wonderful breakfast. What was on the menu, you ask?!? Wow - what wasn't on the menu?!? We had the option of pancakes, waffles, chocolate chip waffles, bagels with cream cheese, Oreos, chocolate milk, orange juice or all of the above! Thanks again for a wonderful morning Linda! Here is a picture of Maja & Teta outside of Teta's condo... Then as a surprise for Maja, Teta managed to get her hot little hands on a mini Home Depot apron! This will definitely come in handy when Marvin & Maja go to the Depot for their Father/Daughter outings in the future! Here is a shot of Maja taking a break from running around Teta's condo exploring (please note that Maja's sippy cup matches her apron)...
As we were all sitting at the dining room table chatting, Teta was cooking up breakfast for all of us. Maja wanted to make sure that Teta didn't feel left out from the conversation so she was sure to throw Teta "Hi" waves every once and a while. Here's a shot of Maja in action...
The rest of Saturday was spent getting ready for our Thanksgiving dinner that we were hosting on Sunday. This meant tidying up the house, getting food ready, planning when everything was going to have to be cooked, etc. Then the big day... Sunday dinner!
All in all, we had 10 adults, 3 kids and 2 babies (if you can call Anna & Maja babies still) in our tiny little house. Well, actually, because it was such a nice day out, we ate out in the backyard. It was so nice - who would have thought a nice Thanksgiving dinner out in the sun?!? So here are a couple of pictures from the afternoon. Here's Maja hanging out in the living room munching on cheesies (then wiping her fingers on my shirt - which is wrong for two reasons... first, you should never wipe your fingers (and runny noses for that matter) on other people's clothing and second, you should never the waste cheesie-goodness that remains on your fingers after eating yummy cheesies like that!)... Here Maja is playing peek-a-boo with Bakica through the chair out back...

And finally, a nice shot of me & Maja...
