Oh Happy Day...

Today is a special day for two very important reasons... first, today is my niece's (Anna's) 1st birthday! And to wish lil' Anna a very special birthday is one of Maja's best friends ever, Winnie the Pooh...

Tonight's blog won't be too long because it's already 10:00pm and I'm zonked! So just a quick update on what Maja's been up to these past couple of days. On Tuesday, Grandma stopped by to hang out with Maja & I (ok so she really came to babysit Maja while I headed off to the doctor to see what's with this ridiculous cough I've had for just over two weeks - apparently nothing!). As always, Maja hammed it up for Grandma and we were there with the camera to document it all. Here's a shot of Maja putting on her best "Got Milk?" face thanks to the cottage cheese Grandma was feeding her... After lunch it was time to check out the house construction taking place next door. As you can tell by the look on Maja's face, she was not impressed with the progress to date. Time to call the union... Then it was off to the mall for some window shopping. Here's a shot of Maja "helping" me with the stoller through the parking lot. Apparently, I was walking too slow for her...
Of course, what would a trip to the mall be without visiting the "glass zoo" (aka the pet store)?!? Here Maja is playing peek-a-boo with the puppies...
And here, Maja & Grandma are picking out which neon tetras (out of the million in the tank) they like...
Then on Wednesday morning, Bakica came by for a bit of Maja time. And what would Wednesday morning be without a visit from our favourite recycling man?!? I swear, when Maja hears the garbage truck coming down the street, she gets sooo excited. She just loves to watch them toss the garbage into the truck. She waves, blows kisses, the whole nine yards! Here's a shot of Maja & Bakica watching the recycling being picked up...
Sorry... no pictures from today, although Maja did have a special visitor - Teta! Yup, Teta came to visit Maja this morning because she missed her soooo much! Teta says it isn't the same waking up without the pitter patter of Maja's feet running around the hallway. It was nice to see you again Teta... can't wait until tomorrow when we can see you again!
