What a Bunch of Characters...

Earlier this afternoon, Maja & I headed off to Mississauga for a play date with Stephanie, Ben, Christine, Dash & Molly the Dog. As usual, we all had a great time eating (yummy brownies baked by Steph), chatting and laughing at ourselves. However, today things just seemed to be a bit more wonky than usual. Maybe it was the full moon last night, maybe it was the fact that all of us were giddy on sleep (Maja slept through the night last night and the Dashman had a three hour nap this morning) or maybe Stephanie put something "special" in her brownies this time around - who knows!

Anyway, things started getting a bit out of control when we all sat down for lunch. Maja decided that although she hadn't eaten in almost 5 hours she wasn't really hungry. Instead she thought it was a good time to ham it up with Christine at the kitchen table (I can see as Maja & Christine get older they are going to be a handful - just like Steph & I in our high school Physics class). Basically, whatever Maja did, Christine imitated and vice verse. Here's a shot of what I mean - Maja stuck her tongue out at Christine to show her the partially chewed Cheerios she was pretending to eat...
And Christine, in turn, showed Maja her partially digested brownie mixed with Cheerios, french fries and milk...
As I mentioned earlier, the Dashman took a nice long nap this morning. It's amazing how much eyebrows and moustaches (and noses apparently) grow in three hours...
Then it was time for the royal ladies to strut their stuff. Here's a shot of Princess Maja modelling her pretty hat (and tomato stained t-shirt) for the camera...

Unfortunately, Ben was wearing cranky pants and would not cooperate by putting on the tiara for me... maybe we'll have to bake him some "special" treats of our own next time to "loosen" him up a bit and have a little photo shoot...
