Making Up for Lost Time...

After fully recovering from her bout of rosela, Maja has been busy! First of her list of things to do? Head to Mississauga to visit her friends Christine & Dash because she hadn't seen them in almost two weeks (they were under the weather too for a while). It was great to hang out again... I definitely missed seeing them on a weekly basis! :)

Then in the afternoon after Maja's nap (yup, I said nap, not naps... she seems to have officially dropped a nap and now just "rests her eyes" once a day for about an hour and a half), we headed outside to play. It was so nice to finally get back outside... I think both Maja & I were suffering from cabin fever the past week! As you can tell by this picture, Maja was definitely happy to be outside again...I brought out Maja's car and a couple other toys, but none were a match for the water hose apparently! Maja kept running over and picking it up then waving it around saying "uh uh uh" (which loosely translated means "turn it on now!"). So after sticking to my guns for about 5 minutes, I finally gave in and turned it on (I'm such a sucker, I know). Maja had a blast! Here she is watering the lawn/driveway for us...
And looking very pleased with herself, I might add...

Then she thought she'd try to catch the water...
And subsequently got a good shot of it in the eye...
Then we headed back inside for a change of clothes (both Maja & I were soaked by the end of the water hose incident) and some pot...
Ha ha ha! Had you fooled, didn't I?!? :)

Then Saturday, Marvin & I headed off to see the last TFC game for the season. It was a good game, but I'm sure you guys don't really care about that, so I won't bore you! Maja stayed at home and got to hang out with Bakica for the afternoon. I'm not sure who enjoyed the time together more, Maja or Bakica! :) Then Saturday night our friends, Megan & Tom came over for a visit (I can't believe it had been over 6 months since our last get together!) and made us dinner. Yup, you read it right... Megan & Tom came to our place and made us dinner (and it was absolutely delicious - Jen Y/K if you're reading this, that will probably be the dinner that we end up making you & Larry/Philip/Lazo on Friday if you end up coming)! Thanks a bunch guys! Here's a shot of Maja (looking a bit startled I must say) hanging out with Megan & Tom...
Then on Sunday, Maja, Marvin & I headed off to Richmond Hill to visit one of Maja's boyfriends, David, and his parents, Jose & Karine. It was great to see them again... they are such genuine and friendly people and we had such a nice time. Thanks again for lunch guys! Of course, once David & Maja set eyes on each other, it was like old times... romance in the air (if you follow this link and scroll down to the second and third photos, you'll see what it was like when they first met back in October last year). Here David is proposing to Maja with a Cheerio (if turning around and eating the "ring" means yes, then Maja is now spoken for)...

Then the "wooing" began! David introduced Maja to his horse and took her for a ride off into the sunset (although Maja wasn't a true lady because she didn't ride side-saddle)...
Then David "drove" Maja around the living room (I like how Maja is gently reaching back to try and hold David's hand here)...
Then, Maja & David tried to escape the lime-light and have a bit of quiet time together by the couch (the Daddies quickly put a stop to that though). This shot cracks me up because if you just change David to be a blonde, or Maja to a brunette, they'd be identical...
Then David & Maja went for a stroll in the park. Here Maja is checking out the ducks & geese in the pond...
Then after having been separated by the parents, Maja headed off to the slide with Daddy. As you can see, she had a blast...

Then it was back to David (it was hard to keep them apart). Here Maja & David are just hanging (literally) in the swings - blowing like two flowers in the wind...

As we headed back to the car, Jose carried Maja on his shoulders (and much to Jose's surprise, she didn't yank out his hair like David does - he showed us the bald patch as proof)...
