It Finally Happened!

No, I'm not in labour... I mean that a stranger has finally felt that they are fully entitled to reach over and rub my belly just because I'm pregnant! And when I say rub, I really mean rub (like for a good ten seconds or so)!

I was waiting for the elevator here at work (I figure at 9 1/2 months pregnant on my last day of work I'm entitled to be lazy) and there was a lady also waiting. She looked at me and then at my belly and then asked how much longer I had. Before I could finish telling her that I am due next week, she asked if she could touch the belly. But again before I could fully answer her, she reached forward and started to rub the belly! I swear, she stood there rubbing it for about ten seconds or so, and I've never seen this woman before in my life!

Finally the elevator came and she had to separate herself from the belly in order to get into the elevator. As the door was closing, some of her friends came and we opened the door for them. She then told her friends that I was due on Saturday (I think they all thought she meant tomorrow because they collectively took a step back from me, like I was going to give birth right there on their shoes or something...). They then all started chatting about the belly and how it looked like I'm having a boy, when one of the more forward friends said to the group "Boy, her boobs are pretty small for only being a week away from delivery" - or something along those lines. I was so stunned all I could do was laugh.
