Lilypie 2nd Birthday Ticker

What, No Spring This Year?!?

Can you believe the weather we've been having the past week?!? I'm sure it won't continue like this into the summer, but what a nice treat in the middle of April! So how has Maja been spending her sunny days? Mostly we've been spending a lot of time outside enjoying the sunshine, getting to know the neighbourhood squirrels and birdies that munch on the seeds we leave them in Maja's feeder and of course visiting the parks!

Once again, I'll have to be honest and tell you that I really can't remember what exactly we've been up to over the past couple of days. I have been leaving my camera at home and unfortunately, if I don't take photos it's not likely that I'll remember. :) I think there was a soccer game that Marvin & I went to (thanks for babysitting that afternoon Bakica)... there was a BBQ at our friends house on Saturday night that we brought Maja too (she did really well, and again thanks to Marvin's ever lasting patience, Maja slept there for a couple of hours before we headed home)... there was a morning at the park with Daddy which was topped off with an afternoon at the park with Bakica, only to be followed by a morning at the park with Mommy this morning. Gotta love parks! :) Anyhow, I'll get to the photos that I do have for you.

Last week, Maja wanted to head outside to play and given there's really not a lot to do outside in our backyard just yet, I thought I'd bring out the water toys and let her go to town. I set up the umbrella (so her tender pasty white skin - thanks to me - wouldn't get burnt), brought out her red table and watched the fun! Here's a shot of Maja transferring water from one container into the other container, back to the first container then back again, and so the story goes...And here's a shot of Grandma, Grandpa and kitty ("Little People" style) having a bath in the sun (with their clothes on... don't worry, it's still a G rated blog)...
Fast forward a couple of days and here we have today! Maja and I headed to park this morning then came back home to listen to some Amanda Marshall and Dido (two "new" CDs in Maja's collection - we're desperate to wean her off Winnie the Pooh!!!). After lunch and a nap, we then packed up the wagon (complete with the Amanda Marshall and Dido CD of course, along with a sippy cup, a cup of fruit, a cup of goldfish and a book, you know, just in case Amanda or Dido needed something to eat or be entertained with), headed across the street to chat with Anne and then up to Tim Hortons (or "Timmys" as Maja calls it these days) for some juice and a timbit. After our walk, we headed over to Bakica's house where we hung out for a while until Daddy came home from work and had a very yummy dinner courtesy of Baka. Here's a shot of Maja hanging out with Daddy reading and slurping her juice...
And a cute shot of Maja playing Lego with Daddy (or "Mah-vin" as she sometimes calls him... I wish I was kidding about that)...

Not only is he hot and handsome, he's also carrying and loves his wife so much that he puts his wife's concern in front of his own all the time. Today is no exception...
