Maja Colleen (formerly known as "Baby Bav") was born at 8:04pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. We named her Maja Colleen... Maja because we liked the name and Colleen because we wanted to honour my Grandy (my mother's father) Colin.

Tea Time with Grandma, I Love My Daddy and Play Dates...
On Tuesday morning, Grandma came by to visit Maja & I. Of course as soon as Grandma arrived, Maja started showing Grandma all her new toys and tricks. The toys consisted of new books from the library and the tricks were closing her eyes and salsa dancing. Yes, I know you are probably thinking "Oh my gosh, does Erin mean to tell us that Maja hasn't been able to close her eyes since she was born?!?". Rest assured, that's not what I mean! :) Maja is now able to close her eyes whenever she is asked to. Here's a shot of Maja showing off her new trick (apparently, the muscles used to close the eyelids are attached to the pouty (sp?) lip muscles)... And here's Maja salsa dancing with Grandma - complete with maracas... After a quick trip the the toy store and back, Maja thought a great way to warm up from the cold would be to have a nice hot cup of tea with Grandma. Here Maja is bringing the tea set into the living room for them... And here Maja is pouring Grandma a cup of tea with milk and sugar... On Wednesday, Maja was having a Daddy kind of day. Everything we talked about went back to Daddy - how cute is that? First, Maja discovered Marvin's passport laying on the floor and was absolutely thrilled to see his photo it in. From that point on, Maja walked around the house hugging and kissing it. Then, we headed downstairs (sans passport for fear of Marvin getting stopped at customs having to convince them that it was strawberry jam on the photo not goopy blood) and Maja wanted another picture of Marvin. So I printed one off for her and she promptly put it in her wagon with a basketball and then declared Daddy to be "happy"...
Then after we dug our way out of the house, Maja wanted to drive Daddy's car (he took the truck that day because of all the snow). So here is a shot of Maja showing me how excited she was to be in Daddy's car - I think her exact words were "Ohhhh"... After coming in from outside, Maja thought it was only appropriate if she topped off the day by walking around in Daddy's shoes... Yesterday, Maja & I headed out to visit Stephanie, Christine & Dashiell in the late morning. As soon as we arrived, we saw a pirate ship passing by. Being the true pirate-esses that Christine & Maja are, they quickly took over the ship and made themselves at home. Here Christine is on the look out for icebergs and lions while Maja tries to figure out if Christine is lying about there being icebergs in the living room... And not to be shown up, the Dashman showed off his newly acquired walking skills for us. Here is a shot of the speedster walking from Steph to me... And just for Teta, here is a video of Maja & I playing at the school park just up the street from a couple of days ago. Maja is serving me some coffee and rejecting my request for soup...

Very nice blog - I love how you can see how fast Dash is going by the blurry image of his foot, what a guy!
No soup for you!
