Maja's New Obsession...

Over the past little while, Maja has been impressing me with how she remembers things. For example, we made some fudge for Grandpa last week and put it in a small green box for him. And then last night while I was making some more fudge, Maja came over showed me the little green box then pointed to the fudge and said "fudge... Grandpa". Is it bad that my 18-month old (tomorrow's the big day!) has a better memory than me? :)

Another example of her memory is from way back on Valentine's day. That morning we had Stephanie, Christine and Dash over for a visit (which I forgot to blog about... sorry guys!). When lunch time came, all five of us sat around the dining room table to eat (Steph, Christine and me in regular seats with Dash in Maja's high chair and Maja in her booster seat). And then since then, almost every day, Maja will point at the various seats and tell me who was sitting in them that day. But, by far, her favourite one to point out is the Dash-man (or Dashasauras as he's often referred to). And not only does she talk about him the most, she calls him by his full name, Dashiell! I don't even do that. So now a days, all I hear about is Dashiell this, Dashiell that, Dashiell, Dashiell, Dashiell! :) So in honour of my daughter's new obsession, here's a cute shot of the little man himself (looking older than his almost 12 months I have to say) from yesterday's visit...
So what else did we do at Steph's place aside from a Dashiell photo shoot? Well, Maja and Christine played together a bit, although I wouldn't exactly say they shared very well. The toys were Christine's so naturally she was pretty keen on them and Maja was in a bit of a mood (she seems to have entered the dreaded "noooooo!" stage these days) so there was a lot of "discussions" as it were. Anyhow, I was able to snap a photo of the two of them sitting near each other touching the same toy... :)
