P Is for Potty...

Over the past week, Maja has continued with her potty training and has been doing wonderfully, if I do say so myself (insert giddy mother visualizing diaper free days just around the corner here...)! She has made me soooo proud! Today has definitely been the most successful day of all - by the time she went down for her nap at 2pm, Maja had not only peed on the potty seven times and poohed once today, she told me about all of them beforehand and did two pees on the real toilet! What a kid! :)

Since it's been such nice weather out lately (with the exception of today), Maja & I have been doing a lot of walking (up to Loblaws - sorry I mean Loblaw Great Food as it's now called, to the library and around the neighbourhood). And of course, when we go out for a walk we have to do it in style. Here's what I mean...
On the weekend, Marvin & I spent a bit of time cleaning up the house. To our surprise, Maja is absolutely mesmerized with watching us vacuum and gets pretty excited when we tell her were going to. Here's a cute shot of Maja peering over the gate watching Marvin vacuum the landing by the back door...
One of Maja's latest tricks is to walk around the house on her tippy toes. She'll hang out leaning on the couch on them, she'll walk around the living room on them and she'll watch Marvin vacuum on them...
Maja is also enjoying climbing on things more and more these days. Here's a shot of her hanging out between the kitchen chairs with a mouthful of grapes...
Since we haven't seen Teta since her birthday last week, when she stopped by for a visit yesterday we (Marvin, Maja, Bakica & I) celebrated the 4th anniversary of her 29th birthday together! :) We had a nice healthy lunch of yummy "low-fat" KFC complete with singing Happy Birthday (over and over and over thanks to Maja)! Hope you had a good time Teta!

Then this morning Grandma came by for a visit. As usual, the three of us had a great time. Here's a shot of us hamming it up in the kitchen together (Maja is wearing a "hat" too but hers was falling off a bit)...
And what would a visit with Grandma be without a walk up to Starbucks?!? :) Grandma & Maja pulled out the wagon and headed off together giving me a bit of "me time". Thanks guys! Here's a shot of Maja showing off her frizzy bangs thanks to the drizzle that's been going all pretty much all day...

And for your viewing pleasure, here is a quick video of Maja laughing at Grandma at lunch...
