A Sad and Happy Day...

Yesterday was both a sad day and a happy day around here. First, it was a sad day because yesterday marked the last day of our Salsa Babies classes. :( Maja and I have been going to Salsa Babies for about 3 months now and although another 6-week session begins in two weeks, we aren't going to sign up. Maja is getting too heavy (last weigh in she was 53 pounds... ok so she just feels like 53 pounds) and it's starting to wear on my back. We'll just have to practice around the house until she starts walking on her own and she can dance with me instead of me holding her to dance! :) Anyhow, here is a picture of our favourite Salsa partners... Geetu and her son Devon on the left, Casey and Liam in the centre and of course Maja and I on the right... And second, it was a happy day because yesterday marked the day that Marvin's long and sometimes frustrating road to the NBA Playoffs was confirmed with the wonderful arrival of our Raptors Playoff tickets! Needless to say, Marvin was escastic! Here is a shot of Maja keeping with the tradition of biting the tickets to make sure they're real...And I just wanted to give you all an update on Maja's "condition"... some of you may not be aware that at birth Maja was diagnosed (by Marvin and me) with a rare (but entertaining) "condition" called "excess-skin-on-the-head-itis"! :) As she grows older, this excess skin does diminish, but as of now it still exists (albeit less than before). Here is a shot of Marvin performing the monthly "assessment" of Maja's excess skin level...
