Sunday night, Maja made her way down to the ACC to see her beloved Raptors. They had an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot and there was no way their number one fan was going to miss it! So, she packed up her mom and dad, put on her Raptors jersey and strapped herself in the carseat and on we went. But wait, the look of concern as we made it down the Gardiner means that something is missing...what could it be?

Oh my goodness, Pedro, my trusty little sidekick bunny must have been left behind!! This pink blanket is no replacement for my little buddy.

April fools - thanks mom. There's Pedro, hiding behind the headrest! Thank goodness.

Once we arrived, here we see Maja and I emerge from the underground parking. Maja doesn't seem to be interested in the world's tallest free standing structure in the background. Oh well - she's focused for the game.

On our walk to the game, we encountered about 30 young women all wearing red jackets with the word "CROATIA" on their backs. It turns out the Zagreb Snowflakes were in town for a synchonized skating competition and they were on their way down to the ACC as well to take in an NBA game. After hearing them talk amongst themselves and state things like "...oh what a cutie" and "..oh what beautiful eyes", I couldn't help but introduce myself. It's not everyday I get such glowing compliments. Imagine my embarrasement when I started speaking Croatian to them and they continued to issue compliments.....to MAJA!!! How stupid could I be...to think that I could outshine my beautiful daughter. Well they were so smitten with her that they wanted a picture with this young cutie pie Croatian!! Again, they were referring to Maja, not me. Here is their link should you be interested:

As the game began, the introductions and fans were a bit loud and I needed to ensure she didn't freak out too much. The cotton in the ears wasn't nearly enough.

Erin took Maja for a bit and brought her down to almost floor level. Maja seems to be interested in what lies on the floor next to her rather than enjoying the ambiance that is the lower level in the ACC. So close to her Raptor teammates and no interest! Babies will be babies. Soon she'll appreciate the value of those lower bowl tickets!!

Once we returned to our seats, Maja decided to look way up in to the upper bowl to see our regular seats. I didn't think she could see that far away, but she told me that these seats were much better.

At halftime, we decided to go for a walk through the concourse and lo and behold, Maja started screaming and pointing. When we looked up, we noticed Canadian comedic celebrity Rick Mercer in front of us. Once we exchanged pleasantries, Rick wanted a picture with his biggest fan (Maja of course). He told Maja that her people should call his people and they should do lunch soon. Maja was obviously a magnet for pictures today. First the Zagreb Snowflakes and now Rick Mercer. Who would be next!

Well, it didn't take long for our next celebrity to want his picture taken with Maja. Ex-NBA player and current Raptors TV analyst, Leo Rautins saw Maja and shouted "...hey guys, guys, just a minute, can I have a picture with Maja please?" Well, no need to actually go and sit in our seats to watch the game when we have all theses photo ops! When Leo said that he thinks the Raptors wouldn't go too far in the playoffs this year, Maja let him know what she thought of him. Poor Leo got an earful.

After a long day with many pictures and of course a resounding win by her Raptors, here Maja finally makes some time to take a picture with her chauffeurs, chefs, launderers, playmates and gerenal overall caregivers, otherwise known as mom and dad.
