It's Alive!

Saturday was the day when Marvin crossed over to the other side - the day Marvin first felt his little Baby Bav move! Even as I'm typing this, I'm starting to tear up a bit - mind you it could be because I'm having one of those crazy emotional days, could be because I'm watching the Baby Story, could be because I'm finally done the ironing, but I'm pretty sure it's because it was such a special moment and I'm so happy for Marvin. I remember how I felt when I first felt the baby move - how amazing it was and how it made the whole pregnancy more real for me - and I'm so happy that Marvin gets to experience it himself!

I was laying down on the couch reading and noticed that Baby Bav was moving around a lot and the movements were pretty strong. So I put my hand on my belly to see if it would move and sure enough, I saw my fingers jump a bit. So I called Marvin into the room and told him that I thought he'd be able to feel Baby Bav move. Again being the ever so patient man that he is, he humoured me and then as soon as Baby Bav moved next I asked him if he felt it. He looked up at me with a bit of a sparkle in his eyes (a look I'll remember forever) and said yes. And that's when I told him that was his baby (again, the tears... thank goodness the ironing done...)! :)

Then, last night while we were laying in bed reading, Marvin had his hand on my belly and Baby Bav was putting on a show for him. I also got to see my belly move on it's own (a bit freaky at first, but still really cool)! Then this morning, Baby Bav kicked "Good Morning" to its dad when we first woke up. What a wonderful thing to fall asleep and wake up to! Life sure is good!
