Baby Bav - Part II

This picture was taken just a couple of weeks ago when Baby Bav was 19 weeks old (they grow up so fast don't they?!?). As you can (or maybe can't) see, he/she has done a lot of developing. At this stage, Baby Bav pretty much had all of its organs and fun stuff like that, it was just a smaller version of its final self (around 6 or 7 inches long - crown to rump).

In this picture, Baby Bav is still laying on its back looking up, with its head on the right and torso on the left (the legs didn't fit into the picture, but they do exist). Again, the whiter parts are the bones and you can see the forehead, the little button nose (don't all babies have button noses?), the lips, the chin and the vertebrae along its spine.

During the ultrasound, Baby Bav wasn't moving around as much as the first time (thankfully it didn't moon us the way it did before - lucky for him/her or else it would have been grounded for sure once it came out). But, we did get to see the little hands and legs, and it yawned, swallowed and looked directly at us. The technician made a video for us to watch over and over again. I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at that video!

As of now, I'm feeling a bunch of movement (which is an amazing experience) throughout the day, but because he/she isn't big or strong enough its movements can't be felt by Marvin yet. Hopefully that will come within the next week or so.

oh - your little bean is so cute, almost as cute as it's Mother, or it's Mother's friend who has been mistaken for some kind of fraternal non-related twin or something :)
Seriously though, congratulations to both you and Marvin, I know you'll be amazing parents. Don't forget to take your prenatal M&MS.

Congratulations!
We will keep an eye on your blog to see how you are doing. Hope you are feeling well. Maybe we will get to see you when we are back east in June, we hope so. Hugs, CL and Big Winnie
