One Nap or Two...
Maja is confusing me these days (but really, what else is new, you ask). On both Monday and Tuesday little Miss Fickle decided that when I put her in her crib for her morning nap that she was not going to nap, thank you very much. Although we was chatting away to herself (and of course Monkey and Pedro too) and didn't really need to be tended to, I would have preferred if she actually slept. Then came yesterday and today when Maja definitely needed her morning naps. I'm so confused! I'm just hoping that if she's switching from two naps to one that she wait until after Sunday because we have tickets to the 12:30 Raptors game and we planned to take her with us and if she sticks with two naps then the timing couldn't be more perfect. I also hope that if she makes the switch that her nap stretches from the 45 minutes to an hour nap she's so well known for to at least an hour and a half. I know, I know... I'm so demanding! Wanting to have some time for myself to do exotic things like have a shower AND shave my legs in the same day and perhaps sit down and eat a hot meal. So selfish, aren't I?!?
Anyhow, aside from not having a morning nap on Tuesday, Maja had a play date with her buddies Christine & Dash (and of course Stephanie, too). Once again, Steph & I were able to sit and actually carry on a conversation together because the kids were playing on their own! Love it! The most dramatic part of the visit was when the house became quiet (which, as you all know, means trouble) and Steph & I found the three kids in Dash's room hanging out. Not dramatic in itself, but considering that in order for that to happed Dash had to "cruise" his way across the living room, around the exersaucer, through the hall, over the door frame, past the change table to get to his crib without so much as a tumble or a peep, you've got drama! :) Unfortunately, Steph & I were so wrapped up in chatting that neither one of us took any photos. Sorry! Then in the afternoon, after Maja finally got sleepy, I was able to organize my bedroom closet (which has been on my list of things to do forever). Thanks to Bakica for coming over when Maja woke up to entertain Maja while I finished up! Such a relief to have that finally done! :)
Yesterday, Maja & I pretty much hung out around home for the most part. Maja played with her treehouse that Marvin & I got her for Christmas and I tried to catch up on some emails. Maja was so cute sitting across the room by herself. Every once and a while I'd hear "puk" (which means "peek" in Maja lingo) and when I looked over, here's what I saw...
