Another Couple of Days, Another Slew of Photos...
First thing this morning, Maja informed me that we had forgotten to wish her Uncle Mike Happy Birthday yesterday (sorry Mike), so Happy Belated Birthday Mike (from Maja, Marvin & I)! Uncle Mike, Auntie, Will, Graham, Peter & Anna are away camping this week with Grandma & Grandpa, so Uncle Mike won't get this message until he comes back. Hope you guys are all having a great time!
On Sunday before they left for camping, Grandma & Grandpa came by for a visit. Before heading to the park for some fun in the sun, Maja wanted to fuel up. Here is a shot of her feeding herself in the hammock (thanks again Grandpa for creating the bars for the hammock)...
Then Maja remembered that Grandpa hadn't yet met Farmer Tad so she dragged him into the kitchen to show him how Farmer Tad can play the banjo like no-one she's ever heard (that is by no means meant as a diss to Barba Frank who apparently has a banjo and I'm sure plays it very well, it's just that Maja hasn't heard Barba Frank play the banjo)...
Then Maja decided she was still hungry so she called on Daddy to feed her some more food, but she wanted more than just the usual high-chair tricks, so she called asked for "Turkey Daddy" as I call him - aka Daddy with some cherries stuck on his nose. For whatever reason I think the cherries make him look like a turkey...
And as you can tell by this next photo, Maja was not impressed this time around...
Then because of all the milk and food, we thought it would be a good idea for a diaper change before heading out. But of course, what would a trip upstairs be with out stopping to check out the Maja sized window on the stair landing?!? Here is Maja looking out the window...
Then finally, we were off to the park! Here is a shot of Daddy & Maja on the slide (ok, Maja on the slide with Daddy helping from the side lines)...
After the slide, Maja & I climbed up on the "castle" and played "peek-a-boo" with Daddy through the holes. Because the tube Maja was standing in was plastic, when she reached through the hole to touch Marvin's face she gave him a huge shock on the nose! Enough to make him yelp a bit and jump back... very entertaining for me & Grandma! Marvin... not so much! If you look carefully in the hole closest to you, you can see Marvin peeking through the hole...
Next, Maja & Grandma had a nice time together on the big swing...
Then Maja wanted to just hang out with the guys for a while and talk guy stuff - you know, stocks & bonds, tools and cars. As you can tell by the look on her face, she was not amused with Grandpa's "pull my finger" request, but did it anyway...
Then after Maja was all tuckered out, it was time to head home. With the help of Marvin & I, Maja walked all the way back to car...
On Tuesday, after Marvin got home from work, we went for bike ride. Here is a shot of Maja in her helmet in the bike trailer (she's getting a bit more comfortable with the helmet as she only tried to take it off once during the ride)...
Yesterday morning for breakfast, Maja had cereal, pieces of toast, pieces of cheese and pieces of my bagel with cream cheese. I'm just fascinated watching her pick up pieces of food and stuff them in her mouth (similar to the way I stuff chocolate in my mouth). Here she is picking up a piece of cheese...
And putting it in her mouth...
Then yesterday afternoon, Maja had a bunch of guests over. First to arrive were Stephanie Christine & Dash. Once Christine saw the camera, she wanted me to take a picture of her and her mommy for her. So here you go Christine...
Next to arrive were Casey & Liam. Although I didn't have a chance to grab a shot of Liam & Casey yesterday, I did snag a shot of all the kids before the playdate ended. In this shot, Maja is on the left (obviously), Liam is the "Prisoner" trying to whisper sweet nothings in Maja's ear, next is Christine hamming it up for the camera, and finally Dash on the right eating his fists...
