A Day in The Life of Maja...

The following are excerpts from Maja's daily journal for Saturday, June 30 (and no I'm not a bad parent because I snooped in her journal - as long as she's living under my roof... oh wait a minute, that's when she's a teen-ager...).

7:07am - Woke up, screeched until tall people (using aliases (or is it aliai?) of Mommy & Daddy) rescued me from jail they call "crib"...

7:52am - Ate breakfast. Consisted of oat cereal (I swear if tall lady sings "Oats, oats, oats... they're not just for goats" one more time will throw up on high chair tray), apples & apricots, green beans (for breakfast?!? Now really...) and yogurt. Was sure to throw some oat cereal on beige curtains before removed from high chair (impressed with myself about oats because same colour as curtains and will likely go unnoticed by tall people for days)...

8:36am - Ate tall man's toast... 10:27am - Pretended to nap but really writing in journal. Hard to think with stupid water sounds and lullabies blaring beside me...

11:00am - "Woke up", headed to backyard where Bakica waiting with very cute purple crocs for me. Finally, someone with sense of fashion helping me dress...

1:00am - Put in restraints in paddy-wagon (aka truck) and shipped off to Unionville for friend's 1st birthday party. Exhausted from morning, took quick nap enroute. Pedro faithfully sat watch on shoulder to watch for bogeymen...
1:51pm - Woke up suddenly and noticed tall lady sitting beside me. Unsure if seen me twitching while sleeping...
2:45pm - Arrived at David's birthday party (finally - other little people to commiserate with). Posed for yet another photo (*sigh*)... this time with Karine (David's mom), David (cleverly incognito as blue cat), yours truly and tall lady...

3:15pm - Ate scraps from tall lady's plate of food (think also ate bug or two because so windy out)...

4:24pm - Tried to rescue Nemo who had somehow perched himself on some rope in nearby tree. Nemo too high up, had to enlist aid of tall lady... 4:32pm - Found escape car waiting across field. Ran to it and began get away only to be stopped by tall man...
4:35pm - Reprimanded by tall man for attempted escape...
5:18pm - Found David and compared shoes...
5:19pm - David outraged when heard about how diaper not changed since arrived...
5:29pm - Must go. Tall people restraining me in paddy-wagon again. Must be close to lock-down time. Send help, if not send toys...
