Buon Giorno, Grandma & Grandpa!

Maja's Log #070807... First day without Grandma & Grandma in the country. Woke up as usual banging legs against crib mattress but just didn't feel the same. Like my legs knew that Grandma & Grandpa not around to hear thunking. Cried out to see if they could hear me... unfortunately only Mommy heard - Grandma & Grandpa probably enjoying lunch at quaint Italian cafe somewhere in Rome... *sigh*.

Last night while I was trying to feed Maja some parsnip and carrot mixture (much to Maja's protesting...), we got a call from Grandpa asking if we could meet him and Grandma at the airport with a copy of their itinerary because they forgot to bring one. Maja was all excited because she thought that meant that she wouldn't have to finish her parsnips and carrots (and completely bypass the broccoli that was to follow them) - unfortunately for her, the veggie-fest was just postponed until we got back. :) Here are a couple of shots of Maja saying one more goodbye to Grandma & Grandpa at the airport. Don't their giddy "Hey-I'm-leaving-for-vacation-in-an-hour-or-two" smiles just make you sick?!? :)
